In 2007, Sebastian Lambeck came up with the idea to start a music project. Back then, he was still based in Hanover, where he began developing his first songs with a good friend. Just a few weeks later, Foolstop was born. Initially started as a kind of folk-rock concept, Foolstop has since not only relocated — now calling Berlin home — but has also evolved into something that’s not so easy to categorize anymore. Influences from singer-songwriter styles, post-rock, synth-rock, and even an increasing touch of jazz are now finding their way into Foolstop’s music. And that evolution can be heard. Following the release of the double album Sound(e)scapes, Sebastian Lambeck is now working on new albums that will further show how Foolstop resists being pigeonholed into a single genre. So yes — more music is on the way.
